The Bad Tree

Every day as I walk through Darling Harbour on the way home, I wonder what this poor tree did to deserve to be locked up.

This a serious fence

Does the tree get visitors?

Poor tree

Extra fencing for other naughty trees

The naughty tree is a Wollemi pine. 'They' probably figure that someone is going to steal it.

Little do the marauding gangs of rare tree thieves know that there are unrestrained Wollemi pines just wandering free in the Sydney Botanic Gardens, with nary a cage in sight.

Which kind of makes you wonder why the Australian National Botanic Gardens in Canberra decided that their tree was so very naughty.

You haven't seen a tree cage, til you've seen that tree cage.

You haven't seen the tree up close. It looks a little triffid like to me.
