Parap Markets

My first Saturday here, I went to Parap Markets with Mum, Mekailaeh and Giles. It was a typical balmy day and I relearned the ability to walk slowly and not overheat. The flowers, the food and the atmosphere knocked me back to the ol' days when I haunted these same surrounds.

The food is still as good as when I was 16 years old. The market has expanded around the corner towards The Cheesecake Shop with it's crafts section. People were sitting around eating and listening to live music. I remember why I like Darwin when I have days like this.

The flowers on sale at the markets

Live mud crabs

Delish mangoes at the lowest price I've seen in a long time

Cambodian rice cakes

Indonesian halal statays
